With that in mind, I thought an informational
series on AutoSurfs might be in order for those
who are not yet familiar with them.

Welcome to The “Introduction to AutoSurf” Installment Series.

This is the first installation of your Intro to AutoSurf Series.

An AutoSurf is a website, or program if you will, where you may go and join as a member to advertise your website.

It works much like a common traffic exchange.

You go to the site, click on the “sign up” or “join” link, enter the info requested and depending upon the site you may or may not be required to validate or confirm your email address by going to your inbox and clicking on a link in an email they have sent you.

By now you have acquired the “username” and “password” you will need to log in. It is a good idea to save these in a safe place. I keep mine in an “AutoSurf” folder on my desktop, with a file for each individual AutoSurf. (Just right-click on your desk top to create these.)

Log in. The members area should be basically self-explanatory.

Just enter the URL of the site you wish to advertise. Some AutoSurf programs will let you “confirm” the site yourself. Some AutoSurf owners wish to approve each site by hand.

Then you will need to surf. This is how you will earn traffic to your site in return. Some AutoSurfs will grant you bonus credits when you sign up. Some AutoSurfs will require you to surf so many sites before your account is active.

After you are done surfing for the day, you must “allocate” your credits to your site, so your site will be put into rotation for others to view. Some, but very few AutoSurfs will allocate credits for you automatically.

Here is where an autosurf is a little different than a regular traffic exchange: pay an autosurf upgrade fees or membership dues (which are US tax deductable business expense) and then when you surf a certain predetermined amount of sites each day, you are paid for it. You get paid to advertise your own site! Well, OK, technically, you get paid to view the sites of others, just seeing if you were paying attention. ;)

(If you are in the US be sure to include any autosurf earnings in with your business income - Big Brother is probably watching!)

Most AutoSurfs accept e-gold as a payment method, if not only e-gold. If you do not already have an e-gold account, you can sign up for a free e-gold account here:

While each person should really look at the list of e-gold money exchangers available (link can be found on the e-gold site) and decide which money maker has the best options and features for them, I can say I have seen it reported by more than one person on the forums that e forexgold offers excellent customer service. What I like about e forexgold is that they have a debit card available, which you can fund with your e-gold balance, at reasonable rates!

Once you are all set up, funded, and ready to upgrade, be sure to upgrade BEFORE you surf for the day. That way you will recieve your pay for as many surfing days as possible.
